Age 85, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri died on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.

Berneta was born the daughter of Chris and Nora (Denham) Utley on October 22, 1922 in Dawn, Missouri. She was married to Hugh Patrick Anderson, the fourth on April 21, 1942 in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1993.

Berneta was a member of the St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri and the Dawn Community Improvement Association (DCIA). She was a Home Maker. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.

Berneta is survived by four sons, Hugh Patrick Anderson, the fifth of Blue Springs, Missouri, James C. Anderson of Dawn, Missouri, Timothy S. Anderson of Kansas City, Missouri and William C. Anderson of Cameron, Missouri, five daughters, Connie Rounkles of Dawn, Missouri, Kathryn L. Cox of Chillicothe, Missouri, Dee Kinsella of Wheeling, Missouri, Deborah J. Neptune of Dawn, Missouri and Theresa Weyer of Utica, Missouri, 32 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son, Thomas Scott Anderson and one granddaughter, Page Rounkles.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 10:00AM at the St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. A family visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call on Friday, May 16, 2008 from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Burial will be at the St. Columban's Catholic Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Mercy Hospital and may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
