A native of Augusta, he had resided here 12 years and was a member of the Abilene Baptist Church, Funeral arrangements will be announced by Platt's Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Velma Spires Buck; a son, Charles D. Buck, U.S. Air Force, Valdosta, Ga; two brother; Charles T. Spires of Orlando,Fla, and William O.Buck of Augusta, Ga; two sisters Mrs. Joe Potter and Mrs. Paul Testino, both of Augusta, Ga. Friends may call at the residence or funeral home.
