Mr. Ruger was a supervisor and machinist for the Servo Corporation of America for 38 years. He loved to volunteer, at both Hagley Museum and Winterthur. He was an avid sailor and enjoyed gardening, classical music, and reading.
Albert is survived by his daughters: Marilyn, wife of Jim McCormack of Denver, PA, and Janet Kinne of Plattsburg, NY; his son: Robert, husband of Kathy Ruger of Flower Mound, TX; his grandchildren: Kimberly Wilson, Alison McCormack, Morgan Chase, Lara Kinne, and Robert and Meghan Ruger; and two great grandchildren: Micah and Quinn Wilson. He was the last of the immediate family.
With respect for Mr. Ruger's final wishes, no formal memorial will be held. His survivors will be honoring his memory and those of his wife, Elsie, in private, at a future date. Memorial contributions in Mr. Ruger's name may be made to the Benevolent Care Fund of Mennonite Home Communities, 1520 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
