Pauline Hammond Stubblefield, 92, died Thursday, February 26, 2004 in Royal Estates Retirement Center of Abilene.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Broadview Baptist Church, with Revs. David Cason and Tim Richardson officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Colorado City Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Highway 277 South.

Mrs. Stubblefield was born May 20, 1911, in Wood County, Texas, the daughter of the late J. Leeroy and Lucy H. (Gilbert) Mills. She moved to Abilene from Colorado City in 1993. She was a homemaker and a member of Broadview Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Troy Hammond, and her second husband, Dave Stubblefield.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Hammond and his wife Jane of Big Spring, TX, and Tommy Hammond of Odessa; three daughters, Dellese Raley of Quitman, TX, Betty Hammond Gale of Dripping Springs, TX, and Pat Fourton of Abilene; a brother, Louis Mills of Mesa, AZ; a sister, Estelle Mills of San Antonio, TX; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandchild.
