Additional information was taken from U.S. Census enumeration for 1940 (with parents and siblings in Lawrenceville, Gwinnett, Georgia;) and U.S., Obituary Collection, 1930-2018 (giving residence place as Tallapoosa, Georgia.) Link to first husband was made by another contributor.

"Mrs. Irene Paden Adams, age 94, of Tallapoosa, GA, formerly of Atlanta, GA passed away May 10, 2014. She was born September 17, 1919 in Boaz, AL to the late William Claude and Emma Lula Watkins Paden.

"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Malcom Adams, Sr.; daughter, Jean (Mrs. Louie) Sinnott; son, Jerry Adams; brothers, Elbert Paden and J. B. and Paden.

"She was a bookkeeper for the Sinclair Oil Co. She enjoyed dancing, music and collected angels. A devout Christian, she was a faithful member of many churches, most recently Pentecostal Holiness of Tallapoosa. She always put others first."

Mrs. Adams was survived by her children Patricia Puig and Malcolm Adams; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

"Funeral services were held May 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home with her son, Malcolm Adams officiating. Music was provided by Kim Adams and Linda McClarty. Pallbearers serving were Toby Adams, Zach Adams, Wesley Dunn, Jesse Hicks, Andrew Puig and Josh Howard. Honorary pallbearers were Pete Richards and Andrew DeVane."
