Lelands second Wife Pauline was the daughter of John Mitchell Sr & Alice Izola [Waters] Taylor. She is buried with were second husband, Harrel Curry "Harold" Johnson, in Cass Co TX, as a Johnson. Her first husband died in WWII, Charley O Shuttleworth.

Leland O. Maxey, 77,of Atlanta, Texas, died Wednesday, January 11,2006, in an Atlanta hospital. The Rev. Maxey was born July 17,1928, in Ecru, Miss. He was a retired minister and member of the Southern Baptist Association, Enon Baptist Association and Smyrna Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two precious wives, Gwendolyn Nettles Maxey of 36 years and Pauline Taylor Maxey of 18 years. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, one daughter and son-in-law, one brother and sister-in-law, Pete and Marie Maxey of Booneville, Miss.; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Smyrna Baptist Church, Smyrna community, with the Revs. Chuck Stevenson, Dee Cruson, J.P. Skinner, Gene Parker and Dwayne Lemmon officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be at 306 Pin Oak, Atlanta.
