William Henry Waldron was the son of Henry Waldron of Virginia. His mother's name is not known. On Nov. 18, 1887, he married Elizabeth Adeline "Addie" Coffey. It is a family story that he helped build the Vulcan Iron Man statue in Birmingham, Alabama which was used in the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. William work as a machinist so it is possible that the story is true.

Beside the daughter, Mae Virginia Coffey Stier listed below, William and Elizabeth "Addie" Coffey also had a son, Carroll W. Waldron, born in 1892 and death unknown.
