SERVICES HELD FOR FORMER OKAY RESIDENT

Funeral services for Jess Wofford, 68, former resident of Okay, Oklahoma, were held at 2pm Monday in the Brady Funeral Home Chapel in Muskogee, Oklahoma, with Pastor Franklin Sweger officiating.

Born in Okay, Wofford died Friday, December 10, 1965, in a Muskogee hospital. He had lived in Muskogee County all of his life and was a retired glass company worker, a World War I veteran and a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Florence; three daughters, Mrs. Jessie Bell of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Pauline Beebe and Mrs. Juanita Bolten, both of Tulsa; a step-son, Robert Harris of Gladewater, Texas; four brothers, William, Troy and Olen, all of Okay, and Lewis of Seattle, Washington; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Briery of Okay, Mrs. Mary Walker of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Letha Plumb of Kansas City, Missouri; along with several grandchildren.

Burial was made in the Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee, with nephews serving as pallbearers.
