Mary C. Ireland, a resident of Douglas for about 35 years, died June 28 at Michael Manor Nursing Home following an illness of several weeks. She was 75 years of age. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Newton J. Caddell. On September 4, 1915, she was united in marriage with Harve M. Ireland and to this union seven children were born. She is survived by her husband, Harve; six children--Emerson Ireland, Mound City, Mo.; A. L. (Tuffy) Ireland, Dallas, Texas; Evelyn Reynolds, Hope Sims, both of Douglas; Ellen Fultz, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Betty Sturm, Tucson, Ariz. Another son, Russell, preceded his mother in death. Mrs. Ireland is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Marshall Norton, Camdenton, Mo., and a brother, Doyle Caddell, Joplin, Mo.; 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
