Doris Oates, Gunter, 82, of Joaquin, passed away Monday, November 5, 2007 at a Center nursing home. Ms. Gunter was born October 1, 1925 in Center to E.C. Oates and Geneva Spurlock Oates. Ms. Gunter was a member of Willow Grove Community Church in Joaquin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at Watson & Sons Chapel in Center with Bro. Mike Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, November 5, 2007 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.
Pallbearers will be Dale McCann, Randall Crump, Gary Henderson, Gene Harper, Vance Jordan, Bob Peddy, Ronnie Martin and Doug Hudson.
