Mrs. Edmonds was born April 7, 1928, in Columbia, SC. She was the daughter of the late Willie Duffie Koon and Martha Duke Koon. She passed away February 2, 2012.
She is survived by her husband, William C. Edmonds Sr.; sons, William Jr. (Melba) and Gary (Lydia); daughter, Carol (Jerry); grandchildren, Kimberly (Sam), Jennifer, Teresa (Freddy), Tina (Chris), and Matthew (Brannon); and five great-grandchildren.
Mary Lib was a kind soul with an intense love for animals. Pets lucky enough to find their way to her were immediately absorbed into her family and treated as such. Her feathered friends were a particular source of delight in her later years. The numerous bird feeders, bird-baths and memorials to various pets dotting her yard attest to her affection for all of God's creatures.
Music was a special lifelong passion for Mary Lib. She was a self taught musician - accomplished in the guitar, bass and piano. Mary Lib was blessed with a beautiful voice. Throughout the years, she performed with many area groups as a country vocalist. Friends and family lucky enough to be a part of Mary Lib's life will all be indelibly touched by her devotion, kindness, generosity, and sprightly spirit.
