TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Linnie L. Thomas, 92, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2000. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Murray, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home. Mrs. Thomas was born in Bovina, Texas, and moved at an early age to the Forrest community. She married Horace J. Thomas in 1926 at Clovis, and they farmed and ranched in Forrest until moving to Tucumcari in 1960. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and the Girl's Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, June Greenfield and Sheryl Faith, both of Tucumcari; a son, Norman Thomas of Longview, Texas; a sister, Dorothy Rose of Placerville, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
