Catherine Diann Cambern, 34, of Lubbock, died Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston. She was born November 12, 1975, in Corpus Christi to Rhonda Wallis Cambern and Dane Cambern. Catherine had lived in the Beaumont area from 3 years old until college. She graduated from Hardin-Jefferson High School in Sour Lake and continued the family tradition by attending Texas Tech University where she Majored in Business Administration. She remained in Lubbock where she was a loyal Red Raider. Survivors include her parents, Rhonda and Dane Cambern of Pinewood; sisters, Courtney Cambern of Beaumont and Mandi Cambern Modderman and her husband Scott of Rowlett; grandmother, Joyce Cambern Smith of Pampa; and numerous friends, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. There will be a reception following the service at Idylewild Country Club, 1100 East Pine Shadows in Pinewood. A gathering of her family and friends will begin at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Broussard's. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, at Springfield Cemetery in Springfield, Colorado under the direction of Rich Funeral Home, 265 W. 8th Avenue in Springfield, Colorado. Memorial contributions may be made to Cal Farleys Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, Texas 79174 or to Salvation Army, 2350 IH-10 East, Beaumont, Texas 77703.
