Service for Robert Seamon Gatlin, 83, of Grandview will be conducted at 2:30 P.M, Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 in Watts Chapel Methodist Church. The Reverend Kevin Diggs and the Reverend Delbert Taylor will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jim Gatlin, Larry Carr, T.G. "Buck" McCall, Winston Gatlin Jr., Jamie Mitchell, Freddie Lyons and Sareth Kheao.
Burial will be in Watts Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Saturday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Gatlin passed away Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 in Ft. Worth. He was born August 31, 1928 in Cleveland, Tenn. to Jacob Seamon and Ruth Crutchfield Gatlin. He married Peggy McCall on Aug. 31, 1956 in Cleburne.

Mr. Gatlin served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and retired from Santa Fe Railroad with 32 years service. Robert enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. He was a staunch football fan, especially the Dallas Cowboys. He loved his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a volunteer with Grandview Lyons Club and a member of Watts Chapel Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Peggy Gatlin of Grandview, daughters, Becky Gatlin Chilton of Grandview and Ginger Mayfield and husband Brad of Burleson; son Robert Gatlin of Temple; four grandchildren, London Rice Mayfield, Lacye Mayfield, Libbie Mayfield and Lawson Mayfield; sister Juanita Dobbins and husband Charles of Cleburne, three brothers, Winston Gatlin and wife Florance of Giddings, Earl Thomas Gatlin and wife Marie of Grandview and Gilbert Gatlin and wife Ann of Streetman, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, J. R. Gatlin
