Floyd H. Blunt, 79, Caldwell, died Wednesday at his home. Mr. Blunt was born April 5, 1891, in Fairbanks, Iowa. He moved with his parents to Spokane in 1914 and worked for several years for the Hazelwood Creamery in Spokane. He moved to Caldwell about 1917 and worked for several years at the Ford garage. He later operated a grocery store and gasoline station on South Kimball Avenue and was a rural mail carrier during World War II. He worked at the Caldwell Auto Parts Co., until he retired in 1967. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 39, AF&AM, of Caldwell and the Neighbors of Woodcraft Lodge.

Surviving are a son, Wendell Blunt of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. Floydean Mangelsen of Parma; two stepsons, Frank Selders of The Dalles, Ore., and Harold Selders of Fresno, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Pentz of Bremerton, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Florence Conklin of Caldwell; six grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. His wife, Mrs. Lois Blunt, died in May of 1968. A brother, Harold Blunt, died Last May.
