A. Glenn Scrivner June 4, 1916 - December 28, 2011 Glenn was born in Ava, Missouri, June 4, 1916, the second child of James S. and Jessie S. Scrivner. He was married to the love of his life, Lois, for 57 years. Lois preceded him in death in 1996. Glenn loved the Lord and to play golf. He was a member of the New Covenant Church. He was also a member of the local Model T Club. Glenn and Lois had four children who all survive him, Glenda Gustafson, Voyn Scrivner, Maryetta Dixon and Stanley Scrivner. He leaves six grandchildren, James Gustafson, Becky Shellcross, Michelle Dixon, Roger Dixon, Stacy Grens and Susan Dritt. He was blessed with eleven great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Lowell Scrivner and his sister, Allie Schmachtenburger. Glenn had a wonderful family that all contributed to his life and aided in his final days, from a kiss on his aged forehead to hopeful thoughts and prayers to his last, gentle hands-on care - he was a blessed man. The family would like to thank everyone at Hoffmann Hospice whose help at the end was immeasurable. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Boulevard. A chapel service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012, at 10:00 AM. www.bakersfield.com/obits
