1930 Census Archer County-shows Alvin married 2 years(at age 32) to Dena. Alvin born Texas and his father was from Illinois and mother from Virginia. His wife was 38 years old(4 years older than him) and she had been married the first time at age 17 years.
Alvin owned his own home and was a stock farmer by trade.
Texas death index gives Alvin Parish, Sr. died February 11, 1984 in Wichita County , but Social Security Index gives last address as Holliday in Archer County, Texas.

Texas birth index lists two children-Sallee Ruth Parish and Alvin Oran Parish, Jr-both born Wichita County -mother of both children was Nan Emma Isbell

"In the 1880's , covered wagons brought the family of Jerry Edward Parish and his wife Nancy Jane Deacon from Mt. Vernon, Illinois to Wichita Falls area. The family settled for the first year just north of the Wichita River where the Beverly Street Bridge crosses.
The family eventually moved to the Taylor place in Archer County, wher they lived for thirteen years. During this time, George, Alvin"Pete" and Reuben were born.
Around the turn of the century in the early 1900's, the family moved to the Parish home place in Archer County near the Geraldine townsite. The family ranch eventually expanded to nearly 7,000 acres and at the writing of the history, the family ranch was still owned by Alvin Parish and the descendents of George Parish.
Alvin"Pete"married Nan Isbell. To this marriage were born two children: Sallee and Alvin, Jr. Pete Parish has remained as a rancher in Archer County on the home place all his live."
