LYONS - Raphael Leo "R.L." Malone, 80, died Aug. 21, 1993, at his home.
He was born Jan. 5, 1913, in Rice County, the son of John and Elizabeth Rose Malone.
A lifetime Lyons and Chase-area resident, he was a farmer.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chase, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Great Bend.
On July 25, 1944, he married Helen Staudinger at Dubuque. She died Nov. 15,1976.
Survivors include: a son, Kenny, Lyons; three daughters, Patty Peebler, Houston, Betty Woolley, Midland, Texas, and Marcia Malone, Wichita; a brother, Monsignor Quinton Malone, Wichita; a sister, Rita K. Thomas, Hutchinson; and four grandchildren.
Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chase, with Monsignor Quinton Malone and Father Joseph Slomski presiding. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lyons Municipal Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the church or to St. Mary's Cemetery Fund, both in care of the funeral home.
