Totness, South Carolina was originally Totness before they changed it to the name of the Old Belleville Road. John Lord was a blacksmith. There's a few burials and headstones at this location or at least I know there were in 2014! It is a very old cemetery near the river.
Their headstones were on this memorial years ago. One was of a infant baby boy, 6 weeks old, Lord child of John Lord. There are old cabins and blacksmith shops from the late 1700's/1800's still standing in Totness,South Carolina. I'm contacting the Calhoun County Culture Center and Museum to find out more about this cemetery of my ancestor. There were other graves in the cemetery.
John Lord had many descendants who were blacksmith's in the Lord family. His son,Thomas Lord, my ggg grandfather was also a blacksmith. His grandson, my gg grandfather Jesse W. Lord, was also a blacksmith of Jackson County, Georgia.
The inscription on this memorial is from his headstone.

You can find the location by Google. I don't know why the photographer removed the headstone photos off of this memorial,I believe the property owners anger is the issue.
