John Allen Snow, 74, of McAlester, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at his home. Born Nov. 24, 1937, in McAlester, he was the son of Henry F. and Maudie E. (Short) Snow. He had lived most of his life in the McAlester area and enjoyed fishing, raising chickens and visiting with family and friends. Survivors include two sons, Allen Snow, of Muskogee, and Rocky Snow, of Lexington; grandchildren, Carrie Walker, Dustin Snow, Allee Snow, Austin Snow, Ryan Snow and Jonathan Snow. Also, great-grandchildren, Hunter Snow and Cayden Walker; two brothers, Ed Snow, of McAlester, and Troy Snow, of McAlester, and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Retha Boggess, of McAlester, and Louise and Richard Everett, of McAlester. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry F. Snow; mother, Maudie E. Bice; son, Johnny Snow; brother, Bill Snow, and sisters, Letha Mae Snow, June Ola Snow and Linda Collins. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at Brumley-Mills Chapel with Keith Kinnamon officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester. Pallbearers will be Dillon Snow, Dustin Snow, Jordy Woolsey, Johnny Snow and Jeremy Snow. Honorary pallbearer will be Allen Snow.
