Funeral services were held Thursday morning, February 14th, at 10 o'clock in the E.E. Stringer Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Zemily Taylor, wife of the late J.B. Taylor of Kirbyville.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Mississippi and had lived in and around Kirbyville since 1912. For many years she had made her home with a grandaughter, Mrs. Ray Adams of Kirbyville.
At the time of her death, "Grandmother" Taylor was 95 years of age. Had she lived, she would have celebrated her 96th birthday on March 26.
Officiating ministers were Rev. J.F. Petty and Rev. J. Perry Lewis of Kirbyville.
Active pallbearers were John D. Reynolds, Emory Ogden, Cecil Vaden, A.L. Watson, Charlie Ehret, and Gaus Walker all of Kirbyville.
Mrs. Taylor was survived by two children, Mrs. J.W. Taylor of Kirbyville and Mr. George M. Smith of Irving; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Burial was in the Kirbyville Cemetery with E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
