Laura Emma Redford was the daughter of Frank and Cornelia Redford. She was the twin of Edward Redford.

She married James Henry Dunlap, in May of 1898 in Indiana. This was his 2nd marriage. Jim and Laura had two children who each lived about 6 months, Margarite and Richard. The infants are buried in Indiana. The Dunlaps moved from Terre Haute, Indiana, to El Reno, Oklahoma in 1909 with sons Edward Sheldon and Roland Victor from this marriage, and Effie and Orville from Jim's 1st marriage.

Laura Dunlap died on Sunday, June 24, 1934. Death followed an extended illness of cancer of the cervix. Rites were held at the Nazarene Church in Bethany at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 1934. Interment was in the Bethany Cemetery.
