Mrs. Branam was born in Wilcox County on August 24, 1913, to Jessie and Mary Paul Hogan. She was preceded in death by a brother and six sisters and two grandchildren.
A homemaker and farmer, she was a member of Abba Baptist Church, where she was a children's Sunday School Teacher. She had lived in Ben Hill and Irwin counties most of her life.
Survivors include her husband of 72 years, John R. Branam of Fitzgerald; sons, James R. "Bobby" Branam of Birmingham, AL., Jimmy Branam of Brunswick; Ronny G. Branam of Fitzgerald; daughter, Mary Grimes of Lizella; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Abba Baptist Church. Interment was in the church cemetery.
The Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
