He was born Oct. 9, 1953 in Patuxent River, Md. to Donald E. and Milly Cottrell Alexander. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his parents of Saybrook; two brothers, Bob Alexander, Gibson City and Doug (Cheryl) Alexander, Jackson, Mississippi; two sisters, Nancy (Dan) Hiner, Champaign and Linda (Paul) Smith, Mattoon; three uncles, Dick (Marge) Cottrell, Atlantic Beach, Florida; Bob (Anne) Cottrell, Satellite Beach, Florida and Wayne Alexander, Kansas City, Kansas and several nieces and nephews.
