JOHN WILLIAM HENRY,
70, 221 Turnpike Ave., Clearfield,
died Wednesday, Oct. 27,
1971, in the Clearfield Hospital.
Born Nov. 30, 1900, in Burnside,
he was a son of John and
Florence Rager Henry.
A retired railroad engineer,
he was formerly a foreman
with Day and Zimmerman,
electrical contractors, and
since his retirement has been a
guard at the Oakdale Farms
Boys Home and for the past
year had been a warden at the
Clearfield County Jail.
He was a member of the
BPOE No. 540, Clearfield.
Surviving are his widow,
Nell Fenton Henry; two sons:
John W., Latrobe; Robert J.,
Indiana; seven brothers:
James, Eagle River, Wise.;
Delmont, Santa Fe, N.M.; Almont,
Alvin, Frank and Murray,
all of Cherry Tree RD 2;
Sidney, Hillsdale; two sisters:
Mrs. Kenneth (Beulah) Orr, Indiana;
Mrs. Martin (Alice)
Baker, Cherry Tree RD 2;
three grandchildren.
Friends are being received
today at the Fred B. Leavy Funeral
Home, Clearfield, where
services will be held Saturday
at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev.
John Stann officiating. Interment
will be made in the
Crown Crest Memorial Park,
Clearfield.
