Ada R. McCamey, 70, of Weems Chapel Road, Mosheim, passed away Wednesday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital, leaving behind, the love of her life for 21 years, Jack Edmonds of Mosheim.
She was retired.
Additional survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Barbara Jean and Ethan Wells of Petersburg, Va.; three sons and daughters-in-law: Louis and Cheryl Thompson of Bessingor, N.C., James and Lisa Thompson of Morristown, and David and Trina Thompson of Petersburg; a stepdaughter: Joan Miles of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law: Doug and Dorothy Solomon of Talbott; three sisters: Linda, Peggy, and Betty, all of South Hill, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late James Solomon and Daisey Altman and was preceded in death by two grandchildren and two brothers.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Charlie Grooms will officiate.
Family and friends will meet at 9:30 Saturday morning at the funeral home to go in procession to St. Joseph Chapel Cemetery for a 10:30 a.m. committal service.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Wells, Mike Shoemaker, Justin Slaton, Eric Shoemaker, Anthony Purkey, and Eddie Wampler
