DEATH OF MRS. RAMMELKAMP
"Word reached here Wednesday of the death of Mrs. George Rammelkamp at her home in Dayton the day before. Heart failure is said to have caused her death, which was unexpected, as she had only been ill a short time. Mrs. Rammelkamp was one of the earliest settlers in Lyon County. She located in Sutro over thirty years ago and it was there that she met and married George Rammelkamp. Some ten years ago the family moved to Dayton to reside. Mrs. Rammelcamp was a native of Londonderry, Ireland, aged 54 years. During her residence in the county she was known as a most estimable woman, a home person whom husband and daughters idealized and was always given to acts of kindness and charity without ostentation. She leaves to mourn her taking away a husband and three grown daughters who have the deep sympathy of everybody in Lyon County and many friends in other parts of the state.
The funeral of the deceased took place yesterday afternoon from the family residence, under the direction of Kitzmeyer and Kenny. It was one of the saddest occasions in the little town of Dayton in many years, and the entire populace followed the funeral cortege to the Dayton cemetery where the last sad rites were performed and all that was mortal of a good woman was laid to rest forever."
