The 1942 Walrod genealogy states that he formerly had farmed the Tunis Walrod farm adjoining Barnum, Iowa.

Married on Christmas Day, 1895.

They had one child, daughter Lucy.

IRA EUGENE LEPPER

Ira Eugene Lepper, 79, a farmer two miles east of Leeds since 1891, died Friday evening in a Hospital after an illness of several years.
He was born July 20, 1864, at Clinton, Ia, and came to the farm near Leeds in 1891 where he had since resided.
Survivors are the widow, Malinda; a daughter, Mrs. Lucy McNerney of Hinton; a brother, John (Henry) of Mason City, Ia.; two grandsons, and three great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to Anderson's funeral home.
