OBLONG, Ill. -- Mary Etta Bailey, 99, died Saturday afternoon at Ridgeview Care Center. Daughter of Leslie Cortelyou and Nora Caroline Price Cortelyou.
She owned and operated The Oblong Book Store and was a member of Oblong Business & Professional Womens Club, Republican Womens Club and Evangelical United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Anna Louise Wiman of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Carol Miller of Vincennes; four sons, Frank L. of Evansville, Donald K. and Thomas W., both of Robinson, and Jerry R. of Rockaway Beach , Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert A., in 1946, and by her son, Pryce.
Services at Pulliam Funeral Home Oblong Chapel, with burial in Oblong Cemetery.
