Mary LaFollette, 87, a retired editor with the old Aeronautical Standards Group of the Air Force Department, died Feb. 24 of cardiac arrest at her home in Washington.
Mrs. LaFollette was born in Madison, Wis. She grew up in Washington and studied art in New York during the 1920s. She returned to Washington in the early 1930s and went to work for the Department of Agriculture. She transferred to the Air Force when it was formed in 1947. She retired about 1966.She also was an artist who painted in watercolors, pastels and oils and exhibited her work locally.
Her marriage to Ralph Sucher ended in divorce. Her son, Robert LaFollette Sucher, predeceased her.
