Charlie and Rose had a "mom & pop" grocery store in Denver. Barbara remembered enjoying the sweet pickle barrel. They moved to San Diego in the 1920's and Charlie worked as a tailor for the rest of his life. First for a naval tailor shop. Then he bought his own place. He used to let Barbara help in the shop because she could sew so neatly.
