James M. Try Fatally Stricken At Silerton


SILERTON — James Murray Fry, 69, died of a heart attack Saturday afternoon at his home near here.


Mr. Fry was a lifelong resident of the Silerton community, where he had farming interests. He was the son of the late W. W. Fry and Mary Lambert Fry.


A veteran of the First World War, Mr. Fry was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of the Silerton Baptist Church.


He leaves his wife, Mrs. Izy Murley Fry; four sons, Cpl. M. Fry of Germany, Robert E. Fry, Wm. Amos Fry and Jackie Fry, all of Silerton; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Field of Greenwich, Conn., Mrs. Willie Mae Hollenbeck of Phoenicia, N. Y., and Mrs. Lucy Katherine Austin of Gadsden, Tenn., and Mrs. Carolyn Teek of Ida, La.; and four brothers, Robert Fry, Ross Fry, and Marcus Fry, all of Memphis, and George Fry of Little Rock, Ark.


Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Shackelford Funeral Home has charge.
