Collinsville - Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Richards Chapel,
Whitesboro, for Raymond Dewey Bell, 74, retired Collinsville farmer who died
Sunday in a Sherman hospital. Tommie Shaver of Fort Worth and Vallen Graham of
Sherman will officiate. Burial will be in Collinsville Cemetery.
Mr. Bell was born Sept. 24, 1898, in Grayson County, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.J.
Bell. He married Hermie V. Tarpley Aug. 31, 1918, in Collinsville. He was a
member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, R.D. Bell of Sherman; daughters, Mrs. Johnny Vannoy of
Collinsville, Mrs. Edwin Durden of Sherman and Mrs. Wayne Gillum of Pilot Point;
brothers, Luther Bell of Tioga, Cecil Bell of Truth or Consequences, N.M., Cabel
Bell of Dallas and C.O. Bell of Lawton, Okla.; sisters, Mrs. Florence Bradley
and Mrs. Cora Neilan, both of Dallas, and Mrs. Jewel Wheless of Sherman; 16
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
