PARKER CITY, Ind. - Nellie Mary Helm, 102, died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Parker Health Care in Parker City after a long illness. She was born June 22, 1896, in Albany to Felix and Mary Ann Starr Anderson and had lived in the Farmland and Parker City areas all her life. She attended Bethel School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Farmland Nazarene Church and the Women's Christian Temperance Union.
Survivors include four daughters, Daisey Mills of Winchester, Ruby Robinson of Cambridge City, Harriet Mosier of Parker City and Dollie Pursley of Hernando, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman "Jack" Helm, in 1961; a son, Emery; two daughters, Mary and Thelma; six brothers and two sisters.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Miller Mortuary, Farmland, with the Rev. Mark Garringer officiating. Burial will be at Strong Cemetery in Albany. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Miller Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Farmland Nazarene Church.
