Savella Mae Sutton died on Friday, January 27th 2012, at the age of 76. She was born on April 8th, 1935 in Albion, Oklahoma to Floyd and Nova Baugh.
Much like her unique name, Savella was a true original. She lived for her Wednesday lunches at Red Lobster, Werthers candies (her cigarette surrogate of choice), the Blue 777 slot machines at Imperial Palace in Las Vegas, weekly mani/pedis, her twice daily pain pills (unfailingly requested at least twenty times throughout the day with a polite but insistent "Ma'am"!) and the occasional off-color joke. Never one to pull punches, she always called ‘em as she saw ‘em, and her family loved her for that. Savella was married to Roy Sutton for 48 years, until his death in 2001. She was also predeceased by her youngest son, Cedric Isco Sutton.
*
She is survived by a son, and a daughter. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A private, family service will be held at Mobley-Dodson Funeral Home in Sand Springs, followed by interment in Clayton, Oklahoma.
Condolences and messages for the family may be left at www.mobley-dodsonfuneralservice.com
