Loy Earl Keeling, 100, died at his Knights Landing residence Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009. Born on March 3, 1909, in Lead Hill, Ark., to Ira and Emma (Jones) Keeling. The 1947 the family moved to California. Mr. Keeling lived the past 30 years in Knights Landing. His working career was spent within the tire business, and retail sales as a business owner for more than 20 years. He was the former owner of Ramona Tire Service of Baldwin Park.

Mr. Keeling is survived by his daughters, Betty Cooper of Woodland, and Mary Thom and husband Jesse of Azusa; grandchildren, Tom and Terry Thom of Moreno Valley, and David Thom of Rancho Cucamonga; as well as by five great-grandchildren. Mr. Keeling was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Keeling; sisters, Fama Keeling and Verma Chamberlain; and great-grandson, Travis Thom.
