Loyd Anderson received word Sunday of the death of his sister, Verna, when his brother, Norman, brought the telegram up from Makoti. The young woman was taken suddenly ill and died Friday, July 30. Funeral services were held Saturday and particulars in regard to the sad case have not yet been received.
Verna Anderson was 26 years of age this month. With her brothers, Loyd and Norman, she came to live with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Larson, when seven years old, at the time of the death of their parents. She finished high school in Minot. Two years ago she was married to Carl Anderson at Minot, and they have one daughter, eleven months old. Last year with her husband, she went to Everglade, Florida, where her body was placed at rest.
Besides her two brothers, she leaves one half sister at Fairmount, Minn., her uncles and aunts, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Sullivan, Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Watterberg, Miss Sarah and Axel Watterberg.
Her many friends join in sympathy with the bereaved relatives.
Anderson, Mrs. Verna Evelyn--Funeral services for Mrs. Verna Evelyn Anderson, 26, of Everglades, Fla., who died Friday afternoon at a local hospital were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the funeral home of F. T. Blount, Dr. George H. Crutcher, and Rev. C. B. Hastings of the Riverside Baptist church officiating. Interment was in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. Survivors are her husband, Carl Anderson, a daughter, Audrey Avis Anderson, Everglades; two brothers, Loyd and Norman Anderson, North Dakota, and a sister, Mrs. Oscar Johnson, Fairmont, Minn.
