Benjamin G. Prater, 84, Salina, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002. Mr. Prater was born June 2, 1918, at Salina. He was a line foreman for KP&L for 41 years, retiring in 1987.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty L. in 1977. Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean; two sons, Ronald of Moore, Okla., and Frederick D. of Salina; a daughter, Deborah S. Montgomery of Moore; a stepdaughter, Barbara K. Timm of Abilene; a brother, Cecil of Salina; seven grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; a great-grandchild; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, Salina.
