Funeral services were conducted this morning in Gallant Funeral Home for Mrs. Lillie Wilbanks, who died Saturday (Dec. 8, 1990) in Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Ala. She was 71. The Rev. John Taylor officiated and burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her husband John H. Wilbanks who died in 1985. A native of Guntersville, Ala. Mrs. Wilbanks was the daughter of the late Joe and Mary Kirkland. She was a retired employee of Elk Yarn Mills and a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Peanut Wilbanks of Fayetteville, two daughters Virginia Jones of Fayetteville and Bobbie Metcalf of Twinsburg, Ohio; three sisters: Gerthie Hufstetler of Oneonta, Ala.; Susie Bodine of Guntersville; and Sofie Bodine of Atlanta, Ga.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
