OBITUARY: Birmingham News - MR. McCLURE
"Funeral services will be held Sunday in Miami for Robert McClure, Jr., 39, former resident of Birmingham who died Friday at his home in Miami. Graveside services will be held here at 3 pm Tuesday at Elmwood.
Mr. McClure, a native of Birmingham, was transferred to Miami eight years ago as regional manager and vice president of Ryder Truck Rentals. He was a graduate of Phillips High School, a veteran of World War II, and an elder in Riviera Presbyterian Church in Miami.
The body will arrive in Birmingham Tuesday morning and will lie in state at Ridout's Valley Chapel until services.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marion Freeman McClure, a daughter, Micki McClure; two sons, Michael and Robert McClure III; his mother, Mrs. Helen Jackson McClure, all of Miami; and a sister, Mrs. Sam Sanders Jr. (Jeanne) of Birmingham.
The family requests that memorials be made in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society."
