James L. Wimberley, 76, of Heidelberg, died Monday, July 28, 2003, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel with burial in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel. The Rev. Cliff Lazenby will officiate.
He was a retired self-employed businessman. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Nell Watts Wimberley; two sons and daughters-in-law, James Stephen and Tracy Wimberley of Ridgeland, Lex Allen and Betty Wimberley of Hattiesburg; three grandchildren Haley Janelle Wimberley, Bryan Allen Wimberley, and Brittany Ann Wimberley; one brother, George L. Wimberley of Jackson, Ala.; and one sister, Grace Smith of Ellisville.
Pallbearers will be Russell Walker, Gosby Thompson, Alex Case, Khristopher Reed, Kahalley James and Keith Williamson.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., today at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
