Vincent was the 1st of 7 children born to Thomas Stilwell and Nancy Bolen-Stilwell in Patoka Township, Dubois County, Indiana.

Vincent married Elvira Mayo-Stilwell on the 8th day of May 1873 in Jasper, Dubois County, Indiana. They together had 13 Children, 3 boys and 10 girls.

Vincent and his wife Elvira Mayo-Stilwell are buried just right of Elvira's mother & father, Phoebe Elizabeth Lemond-Mayo and John Adam Mayo Jr..
Vincent and Elvira Stilwell's headstones have fallen and can No Longer be found!
The headstones had been seen many times, tho, between 1950-1970 by family members.

John Bartlett (1874-1926), Jarrett (1880-1895), Lillian (01 Feb 1882 - 01 Oct 1882), Rosella (1887-1888), and Della (1888-1890)

Stilwell Family Records indicate that Vincent, Elvira and their children, at the time, made their way to Oklahoma from Indiana in 1882, and that their infant daughter, Lillian, passed away in Dubois County, Indiana before their departure.
