Mary Ann Beaudry, age 92, of Monroe passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in her home.
Mary was born August 30, 1920 in Monroe to Gaetano and Catherine ( Terrasi) Gelso, she married Milton J. Beaudry on August 10, 1946 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroe, he preceded her in death in Ap r i l 1991. Mary a t t e n d e d Lincoln and St. Joseph schools; she was a member of St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church and a past member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie.
Mary enjoyed bingo, dancing, traveling and visiting casinos. She will always be remembered for her big hugs and smile.
Mary is survived by her children, Catherine ( Ron) Raymond of LaSalle, Elaine ( Richard) Cousino of Erie, Margaret ( Michael) Comer of Haslett, Bernadine ( Leon) Bashaw of Davison, Debra ( Don) Deszell of Monroe, Marie ( Dave) DeMario of Temperance, Cynde ( Bill) Knight of LaSalle and Jane ( Tim) Giznsky of Brownstown; siblings, Russel Gelso, Josephine Gelso, Nancy Savage, Grace ( Don) Drewior, Ann Poupard and Jean ( Pete) Peterson all of Monroe; 26 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; children, Joseph Beaudry and Michelle Beaudry; siblings, Michael Gelso, Rose Johnson and Angeline Gelso; grandchildren, James Raymond and Greg Beaudry.
Family will receive friends from 4- 8pm Saturday, November 17, 2012 and 1- 8pm Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Allore Chapel- Martenson Family of Funeral Homes Monroe, where a scripture service will be held at 6pm Sunday evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday 11am at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church, Monroe, where she will lie in state one hour prior. Fr. Sama Muma of St. Isadore Catholic Church, Macomb County, will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
