Services for Mrs. Peal K. Higgins, 81, of Denver, Colo., who died Thursday of pneumonia, will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church Monday at 10 a.m. with burial at Glendale Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tonight at Hamilton's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Higgins was born in Whiting an lived in Des Moines for 25 years before moving to Denver 2 1/2 years ago.
She was a member of St. Peters' Catholic Church and of the Legion of Mary and was a Gold Star Mother.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Fred McMullen of Altoona; a son, Dan Higgins of Denver, Colo.' 10 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. (Des Moines Register, Des Moines, IA, January 9, 1972)
