Betty Jean D'Water Weiss 64 of Union City Mi passed away February 15 2004
Mrs Weiss was employed for several years at Dare Products in Battle Creek MI.
She enjoyed spending time and laughing with family and friends.
Mrs Weiss also enjoyed her flower gardens collecting Native American knick-knacks playing cards and playing bingo.
She is survived by:
Husband: Harry "Pork" Weiss of Homer MI.
Mother: Emma Wilbur D'Water of East Leroy Mi.
Son: Randy Roxanne Gwilt
Daughter: Julie [Wadley] Jordon
Four stepsons: Chuck (Fraya Bushong) Weiss .
John [Sandy Nicholas] Weiss . Greg [Delores Rewa]Weiss and David L. Weiss-Walker-Torrey.
Stepdaughter Sherry Weiss.
Three sister: Catherine [Wayne] Smith . Barbara [Dick] Fox, Mary [Jack] Ward.
Brother: Donald D'Water.
13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Donald D'Water and a grandson Timothy Weiss.

Betty was born March 23 1939 in Albion Michigan to Donald and Emma (Wilbur) DWater. She was employed by Dare Products in Battle Creek for many years. She is survived by her husband Harry Weiss and her mother Emma DWater of East Leroy MI. She is also survived by a son Randy L Gwilt of Ellwood City Pennsylvania a daughter, Julie A Jordan of Union City MI;l sisters Catherine Smith of Battle Creek MI Barbara Fox of Athens MI Mary Ward of Springport MI one brother Donald D'Water of Bronson Mi three Grandchildren;l and one great-granddaughter. She was very artistic and creative. She enjoyed building she built her own fireplace and entertainment center. She cultivated roses and beautiful flowers in her garden and also loved to sew. Friends may call at the Spencer Family Funeral Home in Athens where the family will be present Tuesday February 17 2004 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday February 18th at the Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Jeffrey officiating. Burial North Athens Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements by Spencer Family Funeral Home Athens.
