Winifred W. "Winnie" Irmen of Arlington Heights Winifred W. "Winnie" Irmen (nee Westrich), 87, was the beloved wife of the late John; loving mother of Jack (Gayle), Jim (Susan) and Walter Irmen and Jill (Richard) Piccolino; dear grandmother of Rob, Amanda, John, Michael, Stefanie, Brian, Steven, Daniel, Alexis, Jacqueline and the late Matthew; dear great-grandmother of Callan and Shaylon; loving daughter of the late Walter and Lillian Westrich; and dear sister of Doris Biring, Bob Westrich and the late Maxine Elwart. Mrs. Irmen worked at the bookstore at St. Viator's High School for 20 years. Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. She will lie in state Saturday, 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Community, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness. Interment is private at Maryhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Alzheimer's Association , 8430 W. Bryn Mawr, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60631. For funeral information, 847-882-5580.
