#SYLVESTER -- Mrs. Thelma Adair Hancock, 96, of Acree, Georgia died January 24, 2012 at her residence.

#The family will receive friends on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Banks Funeral Home in Sylvester, Georgia.

#Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Banks Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Kimball Cemetery in Anderson City.

#Mrs. Hancock was born on Sept. 27, 1915 to the late Arthur and Eunie McDonald Adair. She lived most of her life in Dougherty County, Ga. She was a member of The First Baptist Church in Acree for many years. She was a homemaker and her door was always open for family and friends. Mrs. Hancock was an excellent seamstress having worked at Gilburg's Fabric Shop.

#Survivors include two sons and two daughters, Myron Hancock Jr. and wife Patricia, Salita Council and husband Max, Charlie Hancock (Dot) all of Albany, Ga and Ann Lesue and husband Carlos of Sunset, Utah. She had 12 grandchildren, Scott, Capp, C.C., Gabe , Missy, Kelly, Leigh, Steve, Alis, Anjanette, Cirrus and Samuel, twenty-six great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren. She was also survived by a number of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

#In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Earl Hancock.
