Death Claims Woman, 71


Rose Mary Carlson, 71, 60 S. 900 E., Provo, died Monday afternoon at a local hospital of a heart attack.


She was born Sept. 11, 1894 in Denver, Colo., a daughter of Oliver J. and Sophronia Hatch Carlson. She married Thomas G. Creagh in the fall of 1923 in Denver, Colo. They were later divorced.


She received her education in Denver schools and graduated from the Colorado Teacher's College in Greeley, Colo. She attended the University of Denver and taught school in Denver, Colo.


Mrs. Carlson moved to Carbon county to be with her brother.


She was a member of the LDS Church.


Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. I. K. (Iris) Underwood, Lompoc, Calif.; one grandchild; one sister, Mrs. William I. (Aimee) Buchanan, Provo.


Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel of Provo. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo Thursday prior to services. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
