Helen L. Anderson, 67, of Springfield died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at Memorial Medical Center. She was born June 8, 1936, in New Berlin Township, the daughter of Lester Ray Sr. and Helen Melenda Sexton Funderburk. She married Dwight O. Anderson in 1955 in Tallula. Mrs. Andersen retired as chief internal auditor from the Illinois Lottery and attended a Christian church. Survivors: husband, Dwight; three daughters, Debra Hawpetoss and Darlene and Lynda Anderson, all of Springfield; three grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lou (husband, Vernon) Moore of Fort Worth, Texas; four brothers, Lester Ray Jr. (wife, Helen) Funderburk of West Virginia, William Tom Funderburk of Pocahontas, Alfred (wife, Kay) Funderburk of Taylorville and Robert (wife, Debbie) Funderburk of Carlyle; and several nieces and nephews. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Wilson Park Funeral Home, Rochester, Mike Jakaitis officiating. Burial: Edinburg Cemebery.
