Herbert Ames, 40, lifetime resident of the Hayti area, died at his home there Wednesday, February 7 and services were held Saturday afternoon at Dry Bayou Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Hutchison officiating. Burial was in Dry Bayou Cemetery with Jimmy Osburn Funeral Home service.
Mr. Ames was born near Hayti December 10, 1927.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Linda Lou Ames of the home; three daughters, Constance, Rhonda and Marilyn Ames and two sons, Michael and Phillip Ames, all of Hayti; and a sister, Mrs. Betty Smith of Taylor, Mich.
